Although I hate to see summer go, I absolutely love fall! This season just truly has something for everyone. Whether you’re a part of the pumpkin spice club or sweater weather gang, the season comes with plenty to enjoy (and it’s officially here).
Every year brings new fall fashion and beauty trends, but one thing remains a staple: fall lipsticks. There’s just something about the cooler temps that makes you want to break out those deep, rich, autumn-y shades.
Allow me to share some of my favorite fall lipsticks that will help you look great the whole season. Because I’m all about looking good for less, below I’ve listed my top, affordable picks—all under $40.
Statement-Making Reds
The Lip Bar Vegan Lip Gloss
Color: Vixen
This one is actually a gloss, but it deserves an honorary mention; I mean, the name says it all. I recommend pulling out Vixen ONLY when and IF you are ready to become her. *wink* The color payoff is incredible, and it’s moisturizing as well.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
Color: Copenhagen
This cult-favorite lipstick is highly pigmented with a matte finish. The color is a rich, vampy red that’s perfect for a night out. I love that despite this lipstick’s lightweight feel, the color still packs a punch just from applying a few strokes.
Au Naturel Nudes
NYX Butter Gloss
Color: Caramelt *new*
This one is also a part of the gloss club, but I love it! It’s from the latest NYX Butter Gloss line that was specifically curated to flatter a wide range of brown skin tones. It provides a non-sticky shine, and I love that it compliments my completion.
The Lip Bar Vegan Lip Stick
Color: Chocolate Spritzer
This my go-to nude. It goes on smooth (similar to a lip balm) and adds a light wash of color to your lips. This lipstick super versatile because it works for a subtle daytime look and it’s the perfect, final touch if you are sporting a smoky eye. The stick itself looks slightly darker than it pays off, but you can count on it to pull your look together.
Rich Plums & Pretty Pinks
Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet
Color: Bright Plum
I really love how bold this color is! The application is smooth and the cream itself has a light, whipped texture to it. The color also has some longevity because for me, it always lasts for hours.
Juvia’s Place Velvety Matte Lipstick
Color: Drama Queen
This is the newest addition to my collection of fall lip colors and it's from Juvia's "The Berries" collection. The color is perfectly rich, and it almost works as a stain (which I was surprised by). It leaves behind a tint to your lips, so don’t commit to this one unless you are sure you want to wear purple for the day.
The Lip Bar Vegan Matte Liquid Lipstick
Color: Unimpressed
Contrary to its name, I’m most certainly impressed with this one! This liquid matte basically goes on like a gloss, but dries matte with a soft finish. It’s a great tint for when you want something soft, but nothing too vibrant.
Whatever lippie you choose to wear this season, the assignment is to keep it hot even with the temps dropping. You can purchase these through my LTK profile HERE or by clicking one of the pictures.
